Registered Growers
Fruit West Co-operative Ltd holds an exclusive licence to grow the ANABP 01 apple variety in Australia. It grants sublicences to approved commercial growers (referred to as registered growers) to grow the variety under managed supply chain conditions. To ensure the integrity of the supply chain, registered growers are required to deliver their annual harvest to a Licensed Packer and have the fruit graded according to strict quality specifications. The fruit is marketed for sale by Fruit West’s Licensed Marketer. Their supply chain and marketing strategies are designed to ensure that consumers can enjoy apples of a consistently high quality and that registered growers can receive commensurate returns. Bravo™ apples are sold both domestically in Australia and in export markets. Still relatively new, the variety is gaining attention and popularity particularly in overseas markets eager to try something LIKE NO OTHER™.
